a good debugger

Postby golgol » Mon Feb 25, 2008 8:15 am

Hi,

i am new to OpenMP. My first programs are running, now I have the problem to debugg a programm. So, I need a good debugger for my C/C++ programms. Do anybody know a good one to use? My OS is Windows Vista and i am using Visual Studio 2005.

Thanks,

Björn

I have to say that I am not too familiar with Windows debuggers. I know several people though that use Windows a great deal and have been quite happy with the debugger offered as part of Visual Studio. Have you tried it and if so, what sort of problems have you had that is making you ask for a better debugger? Thanks.

The debugging using the microsoft debugger is ok - but while programming parallel applications it feels ... uncomfortable. I hoped that there is a better an more precise debugger for such applications.
