What in my minds now are AMD FX-8150 (3.6GHz/8-core/)
or AMD opteron 6282SE (2.6GHz/16-core/).
FX-8150 is very cheap but has so many bad comments/reviews on it.
I don't care about other things but just scientific, numerical (double precision) computing.
Does FX-8150 work as the specified CPU GHz says and the number of cores says,
as AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor does, with openmp and the -O2 compile option?
What about AMD opteron 6282SE (2.6GHz/16-core/)?
I know it's much more expensive and uses a different motherboard.
Please let me know your experience and advice.
