CALL FOR PAPERS
The 3rd International Workshop on OpenMP: Experiences and
Implementations
WOMPEI 2005
Epochal Tsukuba, Tsukuba, JAPAN
January, 20-21, 2005
Supported by University of Tsukuba
OpenMP is an industry standard interface for shared memory programming
of parallel computer applications. OpenMP offers a way to write
applications with a shared memory programming model portable to a wide
range of parallel computers. In addition, a number of research groups
are devoting their efforts to envisage future enhancements of the
language, implement tools, compilers and run-time environments.
WOMPEI 2005 follows a series of workshops on OpenMP, such as
WOMPAT(US), EWOMP(Europe), and WOMPEI(Japan). It is part of the
cOMPunity initiative whose main objective is the dissemination and
exchange of information about OpenMP.
The workshop will focus its attention on different aspects of OpenMP.
On the one side, the focus is on experiences from application
developers in the use of the language and performance of real
applications. On the other side, experiences in the implementation of
compilers, runtime systems and tools supporting the development and
parallelization of applications with OpenMP. The workshop also
welcomes experiences in moving ideas and concepts from other
programming models like HPF to OpenMP.
In this WOMPEI, we solicit papers from the same topics as in previous
workshops. However, we would like to extend the topics with
- OpenMP on software distributed shared memory systems (SDSM)
- OpenMP peformance on a large scale SMP systems
- the use of OpenMP in embedded systems
- and related topics on HFP and OpenMP.
Authors are invited to submit a two-page extended abstract for the
presentation in this workshop. All submissions must be received by
5th Dec 2004.
Submit a postscript or PDF file (by E-mail) to
wompei2005 at hpcs.is.tsukuba.ac.jp
A manuscript should include the title, author's information
(name(s),affiliation, postal address, E-mail address and phone and FAX
numbers). Submitted papers will be acknowledged by E-mail promptly.
Important dates:
5th Dec 2004 Deadline for extended abstract
