[Omp] beginner in OpenMP

Hi Chris,

I guess that the answer was that the GNU compilers currently
don't support openMP, cf. http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/gomp/,
http://gcc.gnu.org/cvs.html#devbranches or search for GOMP in
the gcc mail archive and that one will have to use e.g.
Intel compilers, Portland compilers, Pathscale, ... if one
wishes to do openMP programming on a PC.
